Once you join you now become part saver part owner and you can participate in determining how the fund is run through Annual General Meetings where you get to choose the trustees that run Mazima Voluntary Individual Retirement Benefits Scheme (MVIRBS). These trustees can only serve for a maximum of 6 years and have to be changed. Your money is kept safe by the custodian (Housing Finance Bank Limited) and Invested by a professional fund manager (African Alliance Limited).
